This category contains the following:
"Split system" refers to "central air conditioning units" with the compressor (usually outside on ground or roof) separate from the fan unit which distributes the air. Some air conditioners are also available with "heat pumps" for warming. Good idea in Moscow.
The financial crisis in Russia lead to a significant decline in the demand for goods and services, in new construction and in imports. The air conditioning industry was not immune to this decline. Nevertheless in 1998 Russia was still third in Europe in the number of air conditioners sold. No further decline is predicted in the demand for such brands as Daikin, DeLonghi, Mitsubishi Electric, Sharp, Carrier, Toshiba, LG and Samsung.
