BRIDGES AND TUNNELS IN MOSCOW

There are more than 150 bridges in Moscow including 14 automobile bridges across the Moskva and River, a bicycle bridge and 4 metro bridges. The Moskva River flows south and is 502km long, of which 80km winds its way through Moscow.
There are 4 unique metro bridges: first is located near the Kiev RR Station, second - around ZIL factory between Avtozavodskaya and Kolomenskaya metro stations, thirth and the largest one is next to Luzhniki sport and trade center and the last, smallest one - across Yauza river at Sokolniki. The landmark bridges are the following.
The first stone bridge mentioned in the chronicales was built over river Neglinnaya near Troitskie Gates of the Kremlin in 1367. In addition to being used to cross rivers, stone bridges became places for mass gathering and lively market places.
Bolshoy Kamennyy. Large stone bridge first built in 1692, it was replaced by the first metal bridge in 1859 and rebuilt in 1936. G8
